The Gold Seal, The Highest Consistency

The Gold Seal is the highest award that Ukiyo Studio can bestow, reserved for the most consistent Kizuna. It is the ultimate recognition of an artist whose path (Dō) has culminated in a transcendent work.

Obtaining the Seal: An artist is eligible for the Gold Seal when two criteria of Consistency (Kizuna) and Impact are strictly met:

  • Consistent Bond: Accumulate a total of 10 Kizuna Points with your releases. Every month, a top 10 list of the singles with the highest scores (Shinsa) for that month will be compiled. If your single makes it into the top 10, you will be awarded a certain number of Kizuna Points depending on its position. (Top 1: 4 Kizuna Points, Top 2: 3 Kizuna Points, Top 3: 2 Kizuna Points, Top 4 to Top 10: 1 Kizuna Point)
  • Master Bond: Achieve at least one position in the Top 3 of our Monthly Ranking.

FAQ for Artists (Kōhai)

This section explains the Way (Dō) to be analyzed by Ukiyo Studio and answers frequently asked questions from Kōhai (apprentices).

How can I submit my music?

Ukiyo Studio operates under an Active Curation model. We do not accept direct submissions. Our curatorial team constantly reviews the Floating World (Ukiyo) to ensure that our analysis is based on objectivity rather than promotion.

How is my music rated?

Each single is analyzed using the Honne Principle, which evaluates technical complexity, innovation, and genuine intent. The points are translated into the Kizuna Score (Consistency) in the monthly ranking.

What do I need to do for a UKIYO NO KIROKU?

The artist must have released an album or EP with at least five singles and demonstrate a notable career. The article is a portrait of their legacy, not a review of a single work.

Is there any cost associated with the review?

No. The integrity of Honne prohibits us from accepting any form of payment or sponsorship for reviews or to influence the Kizuna Ranking.

How often is the Kizuna Ranking updated?

The Kizuna Report (the complete ranking) is published rigorously once a month, on the 1st day of each cycle.
